This trip to Iceland in early March focuses on the southern part of the island.
Different days we were in Reykjavík
Views from the top of the Hallgrímskirkja

One of the best known spots in the center of Reykjavík is Hallgrímskirkja

The views from Reykjavík Beach

To the south is an area with plenty of water, rivers and waterfalls

Skógafoss is probably one of the best known, we stayed there for 2 nights and used it as a base to go later to Jökulsárlón

Next to Skógafoss and much more unknown is the Kvernufoss waterfall

Vik’s black sand beach is one of the best known on the island

And from there we went to Lake Jökulsárlón

Right next to Jökulsárlón is Diamond Beach, one of the most spectacular in all of Iceland.

Back in Reykjavík we passed Strokkur and Gullfoss

On the way to Garður Old Lighthouse there are several beautiful views

One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen in Hvalsneskirkja

And probably the best known church is Búðakirkja

One of the most spectacular things in Iceland is the northern lights

And so far thAnd so far the family trip to Iceland
